A – NO!!! The Cannonball Run 3000 is not a race, it’s much more competitive then that ;).

The Cannonball Run 3000 is a fun filled, highly energetic, very competitive adventure, with big prizes and international exposure. The rally will occur on open roads and our main concern/rule is always safety first, success, fun, adventure and prizes after. The winning team will not always be the team with the fastest car, or the one who gets there first, but the team that can combine their human skills, available resources with that of their machine.

A – The organization is always looking to welcome the right person, volunteers, company, brands and sponsor to the Cannonball Run 3000 family. We will get in contact with you after receiving your e-mail.

Q – Are we driving mountains roads?

A – Driving on narrow mountain roads is a special field. On some roads you may feel that you are entering the ravine. But also driving up a steep slope is not equal to driving around in flat countries like the Netherlands. Driving economically with nature in mind is recommended, but when driving in the mountains other safety rules apply. In the mountains it is important to drive in a lower gear and higher rpm. The risk at low revs is that the engine overheats because it is too heavily loaded. Even when you are driving down the mountain you do not have to switch to too high gear. By using a lower gear the car can brake on the engine, causing your brakes less damage.

Q – Do you need an environmental sticker/vignette?

In most German cities it is mandatory for certain types of cars to have an environmental sticker when entering an environmental zone. If you drive without a valid sticker in a so-called Umwelt zone, they could fine of eighty euros can be paid. The costs of a sticker vary from five to eighteen euros. Also, in certain French cities (such as Paris) you need a special environmental sticker (vignette Crit ‘Air).
